Game Changers United™ was founded by Kenisha Nichelle Brown-Alexander, a speaker, sports industry leader, certified life coach, and advocate for student mental wellness.

Kenisha’s story is deeply personal. Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she grew up with a love for sports, people, and faith. But her life changed early. She lost her father at age 12, and while in college, her mother battled breast cancer and later passed away.

At the time, Kenisha was studying athletic training and serving in the athletics environment. She understood the pressure to show up, travel, perform, and be present — even while carrying grief. When she needed empathy, she did not always receive it.

That experience became part of her calling.

Kenisha knows what it feels like to be a student connected to sports while life is falling apart behind the scenes. She knows the weight of trying to appear strong when you are grieving, overwhelmed, or unsure how to ask for help. GCU was created so students would not have to carry those moments alone.
